A Busy Summer

Hi, Matt here

This year has been a very busy time for me. I’m still working in Castlewood School with Richard & John and I’ve been back in the rehearsal room with the Shysters.

For the first six months of this year I have been involved in Transformers, where I shared my work with Class 3 & Class 4. I was very pleased with my work with them. Richard led Class 2 for a little dance and me and John started the show off with a dance to open the performance. We did the performance in the hall of Castlewood School. We did the morning performance and the afternoon performance.

Working in another school, Birmingham Sladefield School we did a workday and showed it in the hall in the afternoon. Me and Richard did the session. I enjoy working in Castlewood school and I enjoyed being involved in the performance and doing the music too.

I’m now also taking my own notes and writing them down in my diary to keep as a record and to know what I’ve done. I enjoy it so much.

The Shysters Theatre Company has helped my involvement in the work. It’s beautiful and the music we use is very moving and emotional too. When we all work in the rehearsal room we come together as a team, the company of actors.

I’m still going to Jumpin Jaks every weekend on a Saturday night. I stay for at least five hours, till 3am! I dance on the stage and I love all the girls and everyone in Jaks cheering me on, I love that so much.

I am also the police liaison meeting rep at Hillfields. I keep our neighbourhood watch up to date on a monthly basis. I am proud to do that.

I love going to the pictures at the Odeon and the Belgrade Theatre too.

I am doing a long blog as I don’t have time to do monthly updates, as you can see I am very busy, but I have covered the whole of January up to now, so in my next blog I will be reporting on my trip to Weston Super Mare, also Butlins Skegness and I’m seeing Mary Poppins too.

I’m going to have a good summer. I will see you next time…

Whatever the weather

Hello, it's Matthew. What a very strange summer but never mind, it's been hot some of the time! Here's what I did over summer:

July

This month I was very busy with a show called 'Tears', our second part of the Shysters Triptych working with the Shyster Shadows. We performed it at the Auditorium Reformed Church.

I also had a part in a Lady Godiva procession from Belgrade Car park to Memorial Park. I had to stand on the float and pose to people. It was a warm sunny day on a Saturday morning.

I also had a good day at Deedmore School on the last day. Weather was really raining, heavy showers. I went to see the class groups I am working on with Richard and Jon.

I'm still having a great time at the Jumping Jacks nightclub where I dance to music and drink VK blue. So a very busy month!

August

August was a good month for me, I went away with my friend Matthew Gosnay's family to Butlins in Skegness. i stayed in a caravan. The weather was nice, we went to centre stage to watch the red costs and bands on the stage perform. I went to the splash pool and had a splash in the crazy waves. it was fun.

I also went to Jumping Jacks there - a bit different to Jumping Jacks in Coventry.

The weather started to change, we had rain, thunder and gales. Matthew's mum and dad said I could go down in October for another break, fingers crossed.

So I'm just enjoying my break from Shysters theatre group. It's going to be a very busy Autumn til Christmas with the Shysters.

So a lot is going on but I keep update with my blog. Well it's autumn and it's bye for now!

Matt
